I have had my Kodak Zi8 for a few weeks now. After reading the reviews, I was worried about the sound quality. But the sound is fine. The problem is video quality. When I record indoors with fluorescent lighting, the video washes out in white and then returns to norm. That happens about once per minute. The video images are grainier than I expected. The camera is logically designed, and very easy to use. I wish that it had or came with some kind of protection for the lens. One of the first videos that I shot went bad, and I lost it. That's bad for me. My videos are critical. I formatted the card and have not had that problem since. I got a Kodak SD card - just to be safe. While disappointed about the video quality, I am happy with the camera overall.
